Pursuing a career in medicine is tough; whether you are an international medical graduate (IMG), the first in your family to become a physician or even if your school program has limited resources to properly guide you. Simple things like having a well-formatted and professional CV on hand to share, can make a huge difference on your path to success.
Prior to medical school, I worked as a clinical research coordinator. As part of my role, I ensured that all physicians' and residents' CVs were up-to-date and properly formatted. This gave me invaluable insight to what was expected for CVs at various career stages.
Apart from my work experience, I have continuously updated my own CV throughout medical school, clinical rotations, and now residency.
